Vice-President of the WWFC League Denis Perch about UFC tournaments in Ukraine

At the dawn of the 2013 League World Warriors Fighting Championship (WWFC) took a clear direction to the experience of leading promotions. At the time of creation no one promised the organizers of a bright future, fame and financial profit. But just a couple of years (in 2017) the League has become a promising and successful enterprise in Ukraine and Europe. Now it attracted attention of the world's best promotion - UFC.

UFC and WWFС: what is the interest?
Just a couple of days ago, the Vice-President of WWFC Denis Perch returned fr om Las Vegas where he was invited by UFC not only at the large-scale tournament, but also for negotiations about the future prospects of MMA in Ukraine. Denis Perch shared the results of the meeting, which will be very interesting both to the fighters and to the fans of this spectacular sport.

Dana White - UFC President and Manager of promotion noted high level of carrying out of tournaments in Ukraine. “UFC is interested in two directions - in scaling due to the absorption of other promotions, and another direction is a talented fighters who can perform of UFC,” says Denis. It turns out that the UFC is potentially interested in purchasing World Warriors Fighting Championship League. But the Vice President knows wh ere they are to grow, and thus increase its price. Therefore, at this stage, management plans to develop a League of its own.

Denis Perch has met many famous athletes and promises that the upcoming MMA tournament in Ukraine will be visited by Tony Ferguson, a former interim champion and of course UFC President Dana White.

Ukrainian fighters in UFC
Denis Perch negotiated on the participation of Ukrainian fighters in UFC tournaments. The Vice President announced three names - Sergey Spivak, Svetlana Gotsyk and Sergey Guzev. As for the two fighters - brothers Askhabov, they are almost at UFC.

Denis Perch admitted that to become future UFC participant it is not enough to be a champion, you need to be socially active and charismatic. Therefore, he advises to have accounts in social media and to be in full view of their fans.

When should one wait for UFC in Ukraine?
American promotion is very interested in ratings and broadcast of tournaments. But now our country is not ready to accept UFC due to the fact that there is no culture of buying pay-per-view (pay broadcast).

The entire world market for MMA is different from the Ukrainian, as in the USA and in Europe the audience is taught to buy broadcast for the money. So they understand that they are contributing to the development of this sport. Our audience will better watch the tournament in bad resolution or try to find opportunities to get into the tournament for free. This situation affects the development of MMA in Ukraine, and the welfare of the fighters, whose fees depend on the sales of tickets and broadcasting.

And this calls into question the holding of tournaments of this scale in Ukraine. But there is hope. Because we have a very active audience in the stands, high impact in social networks and the number of views on YouTube. So interest in mixed martial arts statistics is high enough.

The arrival of UFC in Ukraine depends on the feedback of the audience. It is now planned to hold three UFC tournaments in the CIS countries. And according to them the result will be clear - whether our country is to host tournaments of such scale.

Denis was also able to compare the level of the tournaments in the US and noted that in our country it is also quite high. And this is another sign that WWFC League is moving in the right direction and ready to take athletes from around the world.

It is clear that without spectators and crowded stands this sport can't be developed. But the current trend of growth suggests that very soon, MMA fans will be able to get pleasure from the fights of world stars of mixed martial arts in Ukraine.
