Open training of participants of the tournament WWFC 12 in Kiev

In anticipation of a large-scale tournament WWFC 12, which will be held in September 29th in Kyiv sports Palace, the main participants of the upcoming event hold an open workout at the fitness center Sport Life (42 Krasnotkatskaya, str).

The main event of WWFC 12 tournament will be the second title defense of WWFC world champion in heavyweight Sergei "the Polar Bear" Spivak, against whom in hexagon will appear the experienced American Tony "Kryptonite" Lopez.

Before this the new owners of vacant titles will be defined  in the Welterweight and Flyweight: Mikhai Kotrutse will fight against Arber Murati, and Alexander Barabash will deal with with Teymur Rakhimov.

There will also be comeback of former champion Svetlana "Phoenix" Gotsyk, whose rival of will be the athlete fr om Uzbekistan Umutkan Aitieva.

Before they demonstrated readiness for the upcoming tournament, the headliners of the  show, as well as the management of WWFC — President Vladimir Teslya, Vice President Denis Perch and sports director Vladimir Shemarov, answered the questions during briefing.

Vladimir Teslya: "Our League is improving from tournament to tournament, and this cannot but please. We become more and more popular, and now, two days before the tournament WWFC 12 all tickets to the sports Palace are sold out. This is the best evidence that we are moving in the right direction."

Denis Perch: "I've been to the events of all large world promotions, and I can't say that I was impressed by what I had seen there. On the contrary, I was even disappointed in some points. If we speak about the organization of tournaments and the way of conducting the show, we are not inferior to so-called trendsetters of MMA industry, and even surpass in some cases. And despite the fact that we, comparing to them, began relatively recently."

Vladimir Shemarov: "I can't single out any fight in card of upcoming tournament to that you need to pay more attention. Fans may follow their own preferences, but in General all the pairs are selected so that the fights turned out to be the most persistent and spectacular".

Sergey Spivak: "My readiness to fight I rate to 10 on a 10-point scale. We did a very good job in Odessa in the hall of the Roman Dolidze, and I feel that I have improved in all components. Ready for whatever a rival will offer. My motivation? I will come to a fight, not as a champion but as a Challenger, as if this title does not belong to me".

Tony Lopez: "I've seen a few bouts of Sergey and I can say that he is a very strong, aggressive fighter who not incidentally holds the title of champion. But I came here to win. I do not know how long fight will be, but one thing is for sure — we'll have a real show that will definitely appeal to the fans."

Mikhai Kotrutse: "Feel great responsibility in connection with the fact that I will fight for the title of world champion, because we've been moving to this for a long time. I watched previous fights of my opponent and saw wh ere that he  focused more. In general, nothing special. Can't say anything about his strengths and weaknesses. The only thing is that he relies on the work in stand-up, so I think we'll get a good fight."

Alexander Barabash: "I already fought for the title of WWFC at the end of 2016 against Andy Young, but that time I felt lack of experience, and I burnt out mentally and physically and exhausted myself during the preparation, because I wanted to become a champion. Teymur is weaker than Young, and I made appropriate conclusions after the defeat and added in all. That's what I'll show on Saturday."

Teymur Rahimov: "I wanted to ask Sasha for only one: when we get out in a hexagon, don't escape from me like you usually do, and fight toe-to-toe. Let's please the audience! Although I do not exclude that when it comes down to it, you will think only about when the fight will end, and to regret ever having engaged in this sport. On Saturday the title will be mine!"

Svetlana Gotsyk: "I am very motivated and eager to regain the title. I already had defeats, but they made me stronger. So this time: I lost to Sormova not because I was weaker, but because made a mistake that I long to fix. At heart I'm a warrior, this is my path, and I'll prove it in the rematch."

The official procedure of weighing of participants of the tournament will be held on the eve of the show, September 28th, in the Gulliver Mall(Sportivnaya str. 1A). The event will start at 15:00.
